Walk from Padstow to Gunver Head
Padstow to Gunver Head
This spectacular five-mile circuit takes you through sweeping countryside, over wild cliffs and along the banks of the Camel Estuary. From the quayside head through Chapel Stile field and basically follow the footpaths, cutting diagonally through farmland until you reach the coast at Gunver Head. Trace the coastline back past Butter Hole and the collapsed sea cave of the Pepper Hole (all the time keeping an eye out for hawks, buzzards and seals) until you veer back into the mouth of estuary towards the low-tide ferry landing point.
