One of the capital's most opulent places to stay, it's a superb getaway in the heart of the West End. Head a little eastwards to Clerkenwell and you'll discover The Rookery, where entry is permitted by buzzer and the atmosphere is exclusive. A tad further in the same direction and you'll reach Spitalfield's, where the final property in the Hazlitt's Hotels collection is housed: Batty Langley's. Named after one of the most influential interior designers of the 1700s, it's a soothing (and elegant) spot to return to after a day exploring the city.
