The Helsby Tap Room

Set in the old Waiting Room of the beautiful Grade II listed Helsby Train Station is The Tap Room owned by BeerHeroes.com. They opened first as a mail order operation distributing 300 different craft brews nationwide but recently decided to open up a tap room with 8 different craft beers on KeyKegs from various craft breweries.
The main room has a bar with seats using Keykegs - some might be full with beer and tables made out of old large cable drums. the Bottle Room next to it has a long table down the middle with shelves around all full of lovely beers from which to choose.
In the short time it has been open it has been a huge hit not just with locals but also being located at the train station people arrive by train too. It's a winner and well worth a look - and a taste!
