Built in 1140 and still owned by a descendant of the original architect, Hedingham Castle is one of the most significant Norman remains in the country. Inside you can take in the Minstrels Gallery and the Banqueting Hall, sip a glass of mead in the Castle Inn, and also explore the beautiful castle grounds beyond. There are events and jousting tournaments throughout the summer, showcasing the skills of the resident Knights of Arkley, and it's a popular spot for weddings all year round.
