Woodbridge
Woodbridge IP12
Voted among the top foodie destinations in the UK by Country Living magazine recently, Woodbridge is yet another of those Suffolk country towns that people rate as an all-round good place to live, winning praise for the easy-going, self-sufficient nature of life here. Its small centre is unspoilt and has an array of independently owned shops and cafés, some good pubs and places to eat and a couple of great places to stay. It's actually on the river, but you wouldn't know it, unless you cross the railway line by the town's toytown railway station and stroll down to the riverside area by the much-photographed Tide Mill. It’s also within easy reach of Sutton Hoo, probably the most important Anglo-Saxon archeological site in the country.
