Salisbury Arts Centre
Bedwin Street Salisbury SP1 3UT
Five years young, the front of alternative arts in Salisbury is always worth investigating due to a diverse programme of theatre, small gigs, comedy and cinema staged in the nave of its deconsecrated church. Many of the dramatic productions here are new plays and the centre enjoys showing things that challenge traditional views of theatre. Lookout also for workshop courses which run regularly in the venue for all age groups, including contemporary dance, film making and improvisation classes. Free foyer exhibitions, a family friendly atmosphere and a pleasant small café encourage a visit during daytime, too.
