Odyssey Arena
2 Queens Quay Belfast BT3 9QQ
Set in the heart of Belfast's up and coming Titanic Quarter, the Odyssey Arena first opened its doors to much excitement in 2000. The city at long last had a purpose-built venue capable of drawing in super star groups. With a seating capacity of 11,000, it helped to establish Belfast as a tour stop favourite for international artists and played host to the illustrious MTV Europe Music Awards (the EMAs) in November 2011. A jam-packed annual programme sees pop and rock favourites grace the stage along with West End musicals and well known comedians. During the Autumn and Winter months it's also home to the city's ice-hockey team, the Belfast Giants. The team have a loyal following, but matches have also become a big tourist draw, offering a fun-packed day or evening out for young and old. Housed in the same building is the Pavilion, with its multi-screen cinema, ten-pin bowling, bars, cafes and restaurants. To the rear of the building is W5, a children's Interactive Discovery Centre, providing a perfect 'rainy day' option for families in the city.
