Stonehaven
Stonehaven Scotland
With its dramatic cliffs, green undulating hills and a coast stretching over 150 miles past Aberdeen, it's easy to see why Stonehaven is a popular destination for walkers and coast lovers. The pretty harbour, which has been rebuilt a few times over the years, is home to an array of local shops, pubs and restaurants; plus a museum detailing the town's extensive history. The town's only fish and chip shop, The Carron, is allegedly the birthplace of the famous deep fried Mars bar and sells around 150 of them a week. The town is also home to the popular Dunnotar Castle – the setting for the 1990s movie of Hamlet.
