Anstruther Fish Bar

No ordinary chippy, people come from miles around to savour the fish suppers here – you just know they are going to be fresh when you see the harbour with the fishing boats outside, and they don’t disappoint. This multi-award winning chippy lets you take away to sit with the gulls overlooking the sea, but you can also eat inside too. As well as haddock and chips they also serve suppers with lemon sole and hake, cod fish cakes and dressed local crab. The local Pittenweem prawns are delicious too, served – of course – in batter with chips. If the queue is too big – and it can be – the Wee Chippy just along the waterfront is also excellent.
