Boutique shop-o-holics beware, for you could easily spend your life savings in the picturesque up-market town of Cowbridge.  Voted by the Telegraph as number 38 of Britain's wealthiest towns, the main part of Cowbridge is just a long Roman street ladled with high-end boutique shops, ranging from art & antiques to house & garden and clothing & hairdressing. The street is also littered with pubs, serving decent pub grub, if a little bit on the pricey side.  But that just about sums Cowbridge up: wonderful stuff on offer but a little bit on the pricey side. Still, with all the regular Farmer's Markets, fairs and foodie festivals, it's a great day out.
