Hotel Maiyango

This intimate, boutique hotel occupies a prime site in the centre of Leicester. Independently owned and operated, the hotel has just 14 attractively decorated rooms, each of which  holds bespoke art work and handmade furniture. They are proud of their environmental standards and work hard to use local suppliers. Their “superior‘ rooms have rain showers and king-size beds, whereas larger “deluxe“ rooms have walk–in wet rooms and bath tubs. The hotel restaurant is excellent, showcasing organic produce and the menu is broadly Italian/modern British: try, for example, the slow–cooked salmon with king prawn, samphire salad with shellfish essence. They have 5–course tasting menus too and afterwards you can relax in the charming rooftop–terrace bar.
