Nestled in the picturesque Worcestershire countryside, Brockencote Hall Hotel is a Victorian gem – a hidden oasis situated just outside the market town of Kidderminster that offers the comforts and treats of a luxury country estate. Once a family residence, this enchanting manor house was transformed into a hotel in 1986 and has 70 acres of grounds to explore.
This historic hotel’s 21 beautiful and well-appointed bedrooms offer a choice between sweeping countryside vistas and serene lake views. Five are dog-friendly and one is accessible, making it a destination for the whole family, whether you opt for a Classic room in the main house with a cosy double bed or a Deluxe room with a king bed in the west wing. All are spacious and well equipped, with WiFi, a Smart TV, a mini-fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities, complimentary water, fruit and homemade biscuits. For those seeking extra space, Superior and Master rooms come with king-size beds and en-suites with baths and walk-in showers, and even extra beds or cots to make room for little ones. Or, if you want to live like royalty for a couple of nights, stay in the Feature suite: often booked for special occasions or as a bridal suite, it comes with a large seating area and a king-size bed. For a bit more privacy, the hotel is also home to two-storey Brockencote Lodge. This former gatehouse features three double bedrooms, an open kitchen and a private hot tub.
Beyond the plush accommodation, the hotel's crown jewel is the award-winning Chaddesley Restaurant, which has three AA Rosettes and a well-established reputation for fine dining. It serves breakfast, lunch, and an excellent afternoon tea, and has multiple menus, including Sunday roasts and a more relaxed bar menu featuring traditional favourites like fish and chips and steaks. You can also enjoy seasonal six- and nine-course tasting menus!
There’s a myriad of activities in the hotel's grounds, like a match on the tennis court or a friendly game of croquet. And while Brockencote Hall offers an oasis of seclusion, it also provides easy access to the scenic countryside: the Malvern Hills, Shropshire and the Welsh Borders are a brief car ride away, and there are quaint historic villages and walking routes to explore on your doorstep. While back at Brockencote, Le Colonial Bar is a relaxed setting for an evening cocktail or two.
