Durham Coastal Path
Seaham Station
This is a lovely and relatively easy day-long walking route, following the Durham Coast Path from Seaham in the north to Crimdon in the south. The footpath follows a short stretch of the England Coast Path National Trail, and showcases everything that’s unique about Durham's coastal landscape, from spectacular grasslands and sand dunes to summer orchids and lots of migratory birds, most notably skylarks and lapwings. There are woodlands full of wildlife, including deer, badgers, bats and foxes, and the ash, oak and yew trees provide just the right amount of light and shade for bluebells, wild garlic and snowdrops.
