St Martin’s Isles of Scilly
St Martin’s is renowned for its beaches – even from a distance it’s easy to see that much of the island is fringed by golden sand. This family haven boasts fine white shores shelving gently into turquoise shallows, and there are rock-pools to explore at low tide. Stretching the length of the island from Lower Town to Higher Town, you can guarantee your own patch of sand to sprawl out on. It’s also a good place to go kayaking.
