Tresco
Isles of Scilly
The most manicured of the islands, Tresco is dedicated to providing an up-market tourism experience, with its plush accommodation and own heliport. The jewel of this golden island is the sub-tropical Abbey Gardens, but this is by no means the only attraction – pillows of sands flank the sheltered southern shores, the ocean bellows from the great cave of Piper’s Hole to the north, castle ruins stare out to sea, a Bronze Age tomb stands on Tregarthen Hill and migratory birds flock to the Great Pool.
