Felicity's Farm Shop

This should be an obligatory stop for anyone heading down the A35 – a fab farm shop selling an intriguing array of local produce, with a little garden area offering dazzling views over rolling Dorset countryside. Though it looks little more than a warehouse on the outside, once inside you'll find a spacious store selling everything from rare breed meats to local cheeses, freshly baked breads and pastries, fresh fish (from nearby Bridport), pies, homemade cakes, fruit and veg, eggs as well as souvenirs, local guides and much more besides – there's also a separate section selling gardening supplies. The 'Filling Station' is the small house café, and serves hot drinks, sandwiches and snacks. You can also buy some very powerful local beers, ciders and even a bizarre black cow vodka, made from local milk and based on a recipe borrowed from a nomadic Siberian tribe (where else?). So now you know how to keep warm on cold wet Dorset nights.
