Though only around nine miles in length, the steam train ride from Norden to Swanage via Corfe Castle is always memorable, passing through countryside little changed from the days when Enid Blyton famously used the train in her stories. Check the website for the various steam and diesel services as well as dining specials, when you can eat as you go. There are also occasional ‘charter’ steam trains running all the way from London to Swanage via Wareham.
