Poole Museum
4 High Street Poole BH15 1BW
This good local museum in a modern glass-fronted building, with great harbour views from its top floor terrace, has displays that cover such diverse subjects as the flying boats that took off from Poole harbour in the 1940s for the Far East and Australia to fine examples of Poole Pottery and an Iron Age long boat dating from around 300 BC, that was dredged up from the bottom of the harbour in the 1960s.
