Everyman Winchester
Southgate Street Winchester SO23 9EG
A two-screen cinema, formerly ‘The Screen’, in an attractive redbrick building that once served as a barracks chapel (the stone cross still remains). The schedule is a mix of popular releases and arthouse flicks, sprinkled with special events such as live shows from the National Theatre or opera from The Met in New York. As you'd expect the screens aren't the world's biggest, but its a nice place to be part of a small screening with a intimate and exclusive feel. Often working booking in advance for the most popular films or opening nights since seat numbers are fairly low. There’s also a kids’ club on Saturday mornings.
