The Cricketers Weston

Situated an equal distance from the nearby towns of Stevenage, Hitchin and Letchworth Garden City, in the small Hertfordshire village of Weston, The Cricketers is a proper country pub. It does all the things a village local should do: it has a welcoming main bar, a great beer garden and muddy boots and dogs are always welcome. Part of the excellent Anglian Country Inns group, it's as good a place for a quiet pint as a full meal, but hungry folk should know that it serves food that is always bang on and delicious, and includes a range of superb wood-fired pizzas , each named after cricket deliveries, alongside crowd-pleasing pub classics like fish and chips, steak and burgers, pasta and curries: all beautifully cooked, served and presented. It has a kids menu too, and is a handy place for a bite to eat before or after visiting the nearby attraction of Knebworth House. There are a few good places to eat in this part of Hertfordshire, but we reckon this is one of the best – a friendly family pub that gets everything just about right!
