Ok, it's not one of the most attractive buildings in Shoreditch, but it is one of its most prominent: bang on Shoreditch High Street, and handy for just about all of the neighbourhood's many bars, restaurants and clubs. That alone makes it a good place to stay in London, but it's also relatively affordable for the capital, and with over 250 rooms, there's a good chance that you'll find something available at a decent price. It's independently owned, and has a cool, contemporary vibe that perfectly reflects its neighbourhood.
First the rooms, which vary from the smallest Studio Pads, through Studios and Lofts to Studio Extra and Plus, which are more like junior suites. They also have inter-connecting rooms for 4 or 6 people, which make it an ideal hotel for a family of for a party: the choice is yours. They all come with Smart TVs, black-out blinds, air-conditioning - Wifi and tea- and coffee-makng facilites and filterered water, mini fridges with treats and en-suite bathrooms with robes and toiletries.
There are several bars - a cocktail joint in the basement and a panoramic rooftop bar with DJs at the top, plus a comfy lobby bar. They all serve food, but they also have an in-house restaurant in Sticks n Sushi next door. They also claim to be one of London's most sustainable hotels, with a community vibe, local suppliers, digital everything and carefully measured water and energy consumption.
