Clachaig Inn
Glencoe Argyll PH49 4HX
History is everything in Glencoe and a sign declaring Campbells are not welcome above the entrance to the Clachaig shows old grievances still linger on in this part of the world. Thankfully they are far more welcoming to tourists and walkers, who come to tackle the local peaks and appreciate the jaw-dropping scenery. They are serious about their ales here and they have held many a beer festival and won many an award too, including ‘UK Real Ale Pub of the Year’. There are no fewer than three bars, each with their own ambiance. The food is excellent too with local beer and venison the highlight. Look out for live music events. They have rooms too.
