Despite being engulfed by new modern buildings, Jacob’s has managed to stave off the developers, and the 50 or so traders that comprise this cool indoor retro market continue to thrive. Spread over four levels, there’s antique furniture down in the basement, with the remaining floors crammed to bursting with curios and collectables; glass, china and pottery, militaria and weaponry, clocks and watches, retro film posters, prints, comics, toys and suchlike. Thankfully, Jacob’s is devoid of the sort of fustiness that you often encounter in such places, and you’ll find the vendors extremely obliging.
