One of Cardiff’s most enjoyable nighttime venues, the Promised Land is an easy-going kind of place attracting an easy-going kind of crowd. Its Britpop-inspired decor includes wall-mounted signed photographs and posters showcasing concerts by the likes of Oasis, Blur and (natch) the Manic Street Preachers, and the upstairs bar remains a popular stop-off for touring bands, some of whom you’ll occasionally find DJing here post-concert. And that's not all: sectioned off at one end of the bar is an intimate little restaurant area, where you can get above-average bar meals, day or night.
