The Swan Inn
Point Road Little Haven Haverfordwest Pembrokeshire SA62 3UL
This is a good-looking pub whose front door opens onto the sea wall above Little Haven harbour and beach. It serves well-kept real ale (Reverend James), has a proper coffee machine, and does very nice bar snacks (cheese straws, anyone?). But it’s also quite a serious gastropub, offering starters like cockle risotto with soda bread or salad of sautéed octopus and baby squid, and mains such as pin hake with surf clams. At lunchtime, there are usually a few simpler, cheaper options, including a decent burger. Kids are welcome and there’s a nice little garden up the hill.
