St David’s Head
Pembrokeshire
The two-mile round trip to St David’s Head is an easy amble from Whitesands, yet provides some of the most scenic coastal views in Pembrokeshire. Visit in early summer and you’ll pass through a colourful carpet of wildflowers while seabirds wheel overhead on the breeze; come in late summer and you’ll almost certainly see seals and their fluffy white pups at the foot of the sea cliffs; and any time of year there’s the chance of viewing porpoise and dolphins playing in the waves off the headland itself.
