Forest Holidays Thorpe Forest

As you know, we love the Forest Holiday concept, and this site is in one of our favourite parts of the country – situated on the banks of the river Thet on the borders of Norfolk and Suffolk. All the cabins are extremely comfortable, equipped with a TV and wifi (premium is an optional extra). They have Golden Oak cabins sleeping 2–8 people, Golden Oak Hideaways equipped with hot tubs, hammocks and wood-burning stoves, and Treehouses, which can provide the ultimate sleeping-in-the-forest experience for up to 10 people. There's none of the hassle or discomfort of camping, just the very special opportunity to get right up close to nature in an accessible way. A great family holiday, no question, and you can even bring your pet in certain cabins.

There are lots of facilities onsite, including the Forest Retreat hub, consisting of a café, bar, shop and play area. You also get access to lots of woodland activities with the Forest Rangers, plus bikes for hire, canoeing, archery and more. Thetford Forest itself is on hand, which is huge and feels truly wild in places – it's got its own High Lodge centre, as well as a Go Ape high ropes course and numerous bike and walking trails.
