The red kites and occasional ospreys that fly over Porth Eryri Glamping might just about glimpse the rooftops of four cabins tucked among trees. These high-end hideaways aren't clustered together in the three-acre wood they occupy but spread apart, so when you’re in one of them, you may not know the others are there. This is a place to get away from it all in the spectacular Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. From these comfortable self-contained cabins, adventure is never far away and natural beauty is easily found – plus, there’s a hot tub just outside.
Labelling this place as a glampsite is a modest description of what’s on offer. These are beautifully constructed tiny homes in the forest with a finish you’d be proud of at home. Plastered and whitewashed walls, wooden floors and thoughtful lighting are the backdrop to modern furniture, a contemporary kitchen and a bathroom with a rainfall shower. There are homely touches too: a log burner, sheepskin rugs, houseplants and local art on the walls.
Style, substance and the forest setting are the constants across the cabins, but there are marked differences in the structural design. Two are family-sized and two are just for couples. The bigger ones, which sleep up to six, are boxy two-bedroomed structures with a pitched roof in the middle, accommodating a third hayloft or mezzanine room over the open-plan living space downstairs. The cabins for couples also feature a mezzanine above the living space, but the building it sits in is a striking glass-fronted A-frame. The decor feels more grown up too: black, white, leather and wood. Meanwhile, the family units have a softer feel with warm upholstery and a little more colour too.
This is a lovely way to self-cater; a step closer to nature than your average holiday cottage and a step up from your average glamping. It’s easy to get comfortable here, but you may well have come to North Wales to get out of your comfort zone. There are lots of ways to do that nearby: hiking up mountains or whizzing down them on bikes, climbing, whitewater rafting or zip lining. And there are more sedate adventures too: a day in Portmeirion, watching ospreys at Llyn Brenig or on a mountain railway. Porth Eryri is just a 15-minute drive from Betws-y-Coed village, known as the gateway to Snowdonia. It’s a great place to start your adventure, whichever one you choose.

Wonderful time
We had a wonderful time throughout our stay in the Moel Siabod cabin at Porto Eryri Glamping! The location and the facilities were incredibly clean, comfortable and amazing (especially the wood-fired hot tub) and our whole group felt recharged following our four-night stay. We would recommend heading into Betws-y-Coed for pizza during your stay!

Cannot wait to return and book another cabin
We have just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay at Porth Eryri glamping. We stayed in the 'Y FOEL LAS' cabin which was designed beautiful inside and out. The interior was beautiful. The cabin was spotless and at a high standard. Teleri met us once we checked in to make sure everything was OK and if we needed anything. Such a beautiful place to unwind and switch off from a busy life. Nothing was too much for Teleri or Gethin even when we were too hot Gethin popped up to turn any heating off. Nothing was a problem such amazing hosts. We can not wait to return and book another cabin. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you guys, Ashley and Jack

Exceeded all expectations
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible glamping location and I must say, everything about my experience was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was awe-struck by the breathtaking view that surrounded the site. The location was nestled perfectly amidst nature, offering a serene and picturesque setting that instantly put me at ease. The cleanliness of the site was impeccable. It was evident that the staff took great care in maintaining the grounds and ensuring that every corner was spotless. I was thoroughly impressed by the attention to detail and the effort put into keeping the area tidy and clean. Overall, our experience at this glamping location exceeded all expectations. The view was stunning, the cleanliness was top-notch, and the mattress was a dream to sleep on. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in nature. I can't wait to return and soak in the beauty of this exceptional glamping location once again.

Porth Eryri fully deserves its 5-star reviews
Porth Eryri fully deserves its 5-star reviews. Gethin and Teleri have thought of everything. We stayed as a family of 5. Sleeping set up is ideal with having seperate bedrooms with kids. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. Shower was very powerful and so CLEAN! All utensils, cooking equipment you’d need were provided. Welcome basket was also a lovely touch- the local roast coffee was delicious. Although we came to switch off and chill (hot tub!), having a smart TV was ideal with kids, we logged into our various accounts so they could chill out too. Ideally located, excellent communication with the owners, smooth and easy check-in and out made for a stress-free and relaxing weekend away.
We will be back!

Wow what a beautiful place to stay in. We absolutely loved it and had a fantastic time. The accommodation is beautifully designed and contains everything you possibly need including a wood fired hot tub, pizza oven and spectacular views. Teleri and Gethin took great care of us and we would love to come back anytime soon. Perfect for a romantic getaway!

Faultless stay
Had a faultless stay at this beautiful cabin in the woods, the host came and explained everything we needed to know and made sure we were comfortable. The wood fire hot tub was amazing and the cabin was immaculate on arrival. A really really lovely place to stay, we climbed Mount Snowdon during our stay and explored the local towns. This is such a reasonable price for what you get in my opinion, the perfect UK getaway with views that make you feel as though you are abroad. Thank you for having us and we hope to stay again!

Million percent recommend
Would a million percent recommend Porth Eryri Glamping to anyone and already have to friends and family who asked about our trip! We stayed in Y Foel Las and it was beautiful, had everything you needed, when we arrived it was immaculate. We got full use out of the pizza oven/ firepit/ BBQ as the weather was gorgeous, and on an evening enjoyed the hot tub. Everything was super easy and straightforward. With a welcome pack emailed beforehand, we felt if we had any issues we could easily get in contact with Gethin or Teleri. It was also a nice distance from Betsw y Coed where we enjoyed a meal out, lots of local walks and waterfalls kept us busy for our short stay. Would definitely return at some point!

Perfect location. Perfect cabins. Perfect hosts.
I have not stopped going on about our stay at Porth Eryri, that quite a few of our friends have gone on to book a stay there too… and they all agree with me, Gethin and Teleri have set the benchmark for what “Glamping” should be. If anything, the term glamping is selling themselves short. It's like a luxury weekend experience. Information was received beforehand. Check-in was smooth and easy. Location is fab, well connected but also feels like you are away from it all. All facilities are excellent. Beds very comfy, our daughters loved their bunk. travel cot provided for our youngest. Hot tub and log burner was a highlight. They make cleaning a priority, cabin was SPOTLESS. Thank you so much- we will most definitely be back soon!
