This cosy, independent coffee shop is located perfectly in the centre of Reading, and is ideal for taking the weight off between shops. Although the shop is not generous in size, their slices of carrot cake, chocolate brownie or wheat and gluten-free lemon polenta cake certainly are. Whether you want to eat in or takeaway, there are plenty of yummy lunches to choose from. Sandwiches are freshly made – Thai green chicken is a keen favourite – as are the salads (try delicious bacon and avocado), and as for the coffee, there's a lot of competition, but we'll give the last word to Picnic’s happy customers, who have proudly crowned the café the 'Coffee Kings of Coffee Corner'. Enough said.
