A wonderful bakery that sells its own homebaked organic breads, pastries and cakes, all made using local ingredients. It’s a great place to stock up for a picnic, with delights such as cheese and cider cottage loaf, cheese, chilli and beer bread, or herb and feta muffins. Sweeter treats include lemon marmalade and ginger muffins, and the most delicious, huge, sweet, chewy almond croissants known to mankind, all baked daily in brick-floored ovens in the on-site kitchen. There are lots of seasonal variations too – try the tasty cheese and pumpkin tart in autumn, Dorset blue Vinny, pear and chestnut pasties in winter, or strawberry cakes made with local fruit in the summer.
