The Scott Arms
Kingston BH20 5LH
The pretty village of Kingston is frequently used as a film backdrop, and when it is the Scott Arms is often its centrepiece. You’ll be hard pushed to find a better view than the one from the pub’s garden, a dazzling panorama overlooking Corfe Castle. Inside is cosy, too, an interesting blend of the old and new. As well as real ales and draught scrumpy, you’ll find a good menu that champions local, seasonal ingredients, such as the Dorset charcuterie board (£9) - and even herbs and vegetables from their own garden. There’s also a summer Jamaican barbecue, live music most weekends, a Wednesday quiz night – and also a couple of rooms to let upstairs.
