The Tank Museum

It contains one of the world’s largest collections of tanks and armoured vehicles in the world, but the Tank Museum is also a war museum in its own right, recreating conditions for World War I soldiers and demonstrating the use of tanks through the ages. There are various activities for kids, who can crawl into the darkened innards of the tanks themselves, some of which date back to 1915. Check the website for special events, including the Tankfest (June) when tanks are wheeled out for dramatic displays of noise and power.
