The Watch House Café adds top-quality cooking with a laid-back, informal vibe to the shingle beach at West Bay. It serves the same delicious fresh fish and seafood dishes as its sister restaurant, The Hive Beach Café, at nearby Burton Bradstock, and enjoys a location that's just as cool. With two outdoor decks on the beach, plus an indoor area, it has fabulous views along the coast and can't be beaten for its good-value, zingingly-fresh local seafood – the Watchhouse Seafood broth is a tasty dish of local fish and seafood in a tomato and chorizo sauce for a reasonable £11. The also fire up their own wood-fired oven, for cooking tasty pizzas, as well as the daily fish catch.
