Paul Dickson Tours
Norwich NR3 1LB
If you want to get to know Norwich better, jump on one of Paul Dickson's excellent guided walking tours, which take in every corner of the city. They're terrific value, and Paul is an informed and very entertaining guide, offering a variety of themed walking tours of both Norwich itself and the nearby Broads National Park, for both individuals and groups from 2 to 20. Most run regularly and are bookable in advance, but you can organise a group tour at a time of your choosing if you wish, and it makes for a great day or evening out in the city.
One of Paul's most popular tours celebrates CJ Sansom’s best-selling novel 'Tombland' by looking at Norwich at the time of Kett’s Rebellion (1549), when it was one of the most important cities in the land. He also does a fabulous Historic Pub Tour – Norwich once had a pub for every day of the year – a literary tour, 'Norwich, City of Stories,' and the excellent 'Norwich on the Dark Side', which features oodles of crime and punishment, filth and grime. His Norfolk tours include the nearby Broads and sometimes start at the wonderful Fairhaven Water Garden in South Walsham and include a visit to Ranworth's church of St Helen's – the 'Cathedral of the Broads' – where you can climb up the tower for unforgettable views of the Broads National Park.
