It's all about location with this beautiful thatched property, right on the river on the edge of Horning, one of the most beautiful villages on the Broads. The property has been in Simon Means' family for years, and it was completely rebuilt in 2006 to a high spec that makes the most of its glorious position on a bend in the river Bure. Most of the accommodation is one the first floor, and revolves around a large family room for cooking, eating and generally hanging out and watching the world go by on the river outside; indeed it doesn't get much better than putting your feet up on the large balcony and enjoying a sundowner as the boats chug by on their way to their evening moorings. There are four decent-sized bedrooms, including a large attic space the children will enjoy, a downstairs utility room and shower for drying off after a day on the river, and although there's no access to the built-in boathouse, you're right on hand to rent a craft for the day or a week at Horning's nearby boatyards. Plus you're only a ten-minute walk from the heart of the village.
