Broadway Cinema
14–18 Broad Street Nottingham NG1 3AL
A major force in Nottingham’s cultural and artistic scene, Broadway offers a wide range of mainstream and art-house films, all shown at competitive prices. It also offers an extensive programme of special screenings, including theatre and opera beamed in direct from the New York Met and the National Theatre, as well as weekly 'Silver Screenings' and Q&A sessions with producers and directors. On site are two café bars, a small, intimate area on the first floor, a larger space down below, where they stock a wide range of beers. As a historical curiosity, Broadway occupies the site of the chapel where William Booth saw the light of Christianity, prompting him to found the Salvation Army.
