Lee Rosy’s
17 Broad St Nottingham NG1 3AJ
Independent, city–centre café with boho furnishings and fittings, from the bare wooden floor to the paintings on the walls. It has a laid-back vibe, not least because the staff can select their own music. The speciality is tea with over 100 varieties on sale, from green tea and lapsang through to more exotic brews like lemongrass and blackcurrant. The homemade sandwiches are the best thing on the food menu, and they vary every day, and their milk shakes are supreme as well. There is also a programme of special events, from a film night on the first Thursday of every month to poetry readings, art exhibitions and live music.
