Incense sticks and bronze Buddhas are de rigueur in new-age stores packed to the gills with an assortment of pseudo-spiritual artefacts and curios. Thankfully, Zen does more than just peddle crystal jewellery and Wicca wares (though it does sell these items too, together with aromatherapy oils and books on spirituality). Zen's focus is on holistic healing, and it has an in-house therapy centre where visitors can rejuvenate mind, body and soul with the aid of fully qualified therapists. Treatments come in the form of hypnotherapy, Indian head massages, reiki and reflexology. They have also recently stretched their spiritual reach to include tarot and psychic readings.
