Crabshakk
1114 Argyle Street Glasgow G3 STD
It's nice when restaurants deliver what they say on the tin, and since opening in 2009 this informal West End eatery has been serving up what it describes as ‘cracking good food’. It doesn't charge a king’s ransom for it either, and makes a great venue for either lunch or dinner. As you might expect, seafood, or more specifically shellfish, is the main attraction, with fresh oysters and langoustines to start before moving on to a lobster or a shellfish platter for two. Other main options include surf clams with pasta, fish and chips, and, in a nod to the non-fishy brigade, a really excellent-value ribeye steak and chips.
