Glasgow Science Centre
50 Pacific Quay Glasgow G51 1EA
This striking titanium futuristic attraction by the banks of the Clyde, unlike most of Glasgow’s attractions, is unashamedly modern. It's a beast of many parts, although sadly its most impressive bit – the Glasgow Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in Scotland – is closed to visitors right now. Besides this, the main attraction is the three level Science Mall, which has plenty of hands-on exhibits for kids and big kids alike, including the chance to build your very own rocket. It all comes with great views of the river and city skyline too. Also on site are an IMAX cinema and a planetarium, making this an excellent wet weather option for families.
