Is it a café, a place to eat, or a venue? Well actually, it's all of those things but most of all this impressively refurbished parish church is a destination in its own right, a revamped cultural centre in the heart of the city whose name translates from Gaelic as the ‘great melody of life’. Life’s great melody does ripple through this West End celebration of all things Celtic – its main auditorium sports a ceiling mural by the Glaswegian writer Alasdair Gray – and it is an unmissable place whether you drop by during the day or party here at night. Ideally do both.
