Glasgow Royal Concert Hall
2 Sauchiehall Street Glasgow G2 3NY
It's not much of a looker, but this block-like building dominating the northern end of Buchanan Street is the city’s premier arts venue, and its acoustics are much more impressive than its aesthetics. The main auditorium can house up to 2475 people and it regularly achieves this capacity as the main venue for the Celtic Connections festival at the start of the year. The Royal Concert Hall is also the home of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and stages many other ballet, opera and musical performances throughout the year.
