Independent, creative and dynamic, the West End Festival epitomises Glasgow’s vibrant West End. Only 15 years ago this was a small-scale week-long arts event, but since then it has become a major arts event that sends ripples through the western reaches of the city for over three weeks every June. One of the highlights is Festival Sunday in Kelvingrove Park, a family-friendly day when craft stalls, live music, a funfair and numerous food stalls take over the park, as well as a Mardi Gras parade with samba bands. Good summer fun.
