The Old Lifeboat House

Nestled in the charming village of Penmon, Anglesey, The Old Lifeboat House is a historic gem of a holiday property in a gorgeous location – about as close to the sea as you would expect to find a house situated right on an old lifeboat slipway. Looking out over the sea and the mountains on the southeast corner of rugged Anglesey, not surprisingly the views are magnificent.

This bright and airy three-bedroom house boasts sunlight and scenery aplenty, with a ground-floor living space that's home to large floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading out to a terrace – an excellent spot to relax and admire the ocean panorama while enjoying a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Back inside, The Old Lifeboat House provides all the home comforts you could need, including an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, TV, DVD player and WiFi.  The three bedrooms comprise a king-size double with an en-suite bathroom, a ground-floor twin bedroom, and another twin on the first floor. There’s also a travel cot and highchair for those travelling with little ones.

Out and about, make the most of the fantastic location by taking a scenic drive into the picturesque and lively town of Beaumaris, or embark on an adventure to explore the very best of North Wales. Penmon looks out across the Menai Strait towards the mountains of Snowdonia, while close by is Puffin Island, where you can see the eye-catching species – along with seals, porpoises and many waterfowl – on boat trips from Beaumaris. Heritage lovers will enjoy discovering 13th-century Penmon Priory, complete with its original holy well and curious dovecote, while at Black Point, near the lighthouse, the Pilot House Cafe serves coffee and tea, lunches and ice creams. Nearby, White Beach is a large pebble cove and the coastal path winds via a nature reserve and scenic cliff path all the way to the open sands of Red Wharf Bay.
