“The most pet-friendly accommodation in Alnmouth” boasts the St Valery – and do you know what? – they are probably right.  This is the place to stay for up to two medium-sized dogs over the ages of 6 months – providing you aren’t intending on also bringing children… this is for adults only.  The house dog Roxy has a few rules for visiting friends, including keeping on leads at all times whilst inside and no dogs in the dining room when breakfast is being served – all perfectly understandable and not contentious.  This is a roaring fire place in the winter and a summer place outside on the decking – after a stroll on the dog-friendly beach.

The dog-friendly accommodation is situated on the ground floor – so no stairs to contend with – and it’s the wonderful St Benedict suite, with its’ king size bed and marble fireplace.  The other three rooms are kept pet-free, so booking in advance is recommended.  Tea and coffee making facilities are a given – but here fresh milk is delivered to your door each day.  A cosy nights’ sleep is guaranteed underneath a silk-filled duvet and 300tc Egyptian cotton linen – and you can feel refreshed after a hard days walking with Elemis Revitalise Me spa products in the en-suite bathroom.  And you can top off the evening with a drink from the well-stocked honesty bar

As a B&B, the team will happily guide you towards a perfect evening meal in the village – for you and your dogs, and will even book your table in advance if you email them.  Breakfast is made from as much local produce as possible and runs from a leisurely 8:45 to 10ish.
