Luxury glamping is an over-used term, but in the case of Stargazer Glamping, there really is no other way of putting it. Set amid the beautiful Herefordshire countryside, not far from the busy market town of Ross-on-Wye and based in the grounds of a Georgian country house, this is a place of pure glamping magic, with a series of impressive tents that come with every amenity you could think of – hot tubs, proper beds, your own kitchen and bathroom, hammocks... It's like staying in an outdoor suite at a country estate hotel, where you can properly appreciate Herefordshire's misty mornings, glorious sunsets and star-filled skies.
The house's woods and gardens host three separate glamping areas, each of which has its own spacious tent. The largest – a Lotus Bele Mahal called 'Big Bear' – is an enormous nine-metre structure that can sleep up to eight people in four separate bedrooms. The others? 'Andromeda' and 'Little Bear' come as a pair – a six-metre Stargazer tent and a four-metre Lotus Belle respectively, sleeping up to seven. Meanwhile, 'Orion' is a six-metre Stargazer housing up to four. As with Big Bear, the furnishings and decor are stylish and thoughtfully chosen – rugs, soft robes, cut flowers, sofas, armchairs and coordinated colours. Each tent comes with its own fully-equipped cabana-style kitchen – indeed, they claim "You won't have to bring a thing"! Each setup also has its own hot water shower facilities, toilet and washing-up area.
Not only that, each tent has a Finnish wood-fired hot tub, comfy sun-loungers and vast fire bowls for sitting out and enjoying the evening. Communal amenities include hammocks in wooded glades, an outdoor honesty shop with a drink-stocked fridge and a free-to-use pizza oven. In between meals, you can potter around the grounds, where you'll come across grassy paths, vegetable and herb gardens, orchards, a kid's play tent, a volleyball and badminton net, and more – even an outdoor iron bed to recline on! And yes, they really have thought of everything, even providing a telescope for enjoying some of the UK's darkest night skies in all their glory.
Stargazer Glamping is quite simply unique – a gloriously indulgent and relaxing outdoor base for hanging out with the family in one of Britain's most beautiful landscapes. However, if you fancy something grander, the owners offer self-catering stays at The Georgian Villa.

The Owner Says
Stargazer Glamping is a unique boutique glampsite set in the most gorgeous mature garden environment on the grounds of a Georgian country house. The site consists of 3 glamping areas that are well separated from each other. Each area has its own 6-person woodfired hot tub, extensively equipped kitchen, hot shower with limitless hot water and separate toilet. Each has its own firepit and BBQ, sun bed seating and hammocks. You have your own dining table and chairs under a pretty awning.
The main site consists of over 250 mature and rare trees, rose walks, orchards and vegetable and herb gardens.
There are various private seating areas dotted around the site. The beautiful communal bar area has an Ooni pizza oven and there is a hammock garden and a beautiful fairy garden. The views are spectacular from the property consisting of the Welsh mountains, open fields and forest. Sunsets and starry night skies are easily viewable from the site. We are in a dark skies area so viewing the Milky Way is especially fun. Limited heating is available in the tents from oil filled 2500 watt radiators that can take the edge off the cold weather and we also provide hot water bottles for you.
