With a location just footsteps away from the famous Cavern Club, this Liverpool hotel is appropriately named – it''s the world's only Beatles-themed hotel, and the perfect place to stay if your trip to Liverpool has anything whatsoever to do with paying homage to the Fab Four.
The hotel is situated at the heart of the so-called 'Beatles Quarter, with not just the Cavern Club nearby but all manner of other Beatles-related attractions too, from the Beatles Museum to lots of Beatles-inspired bars. It's a pity in a way that the building itself doesn't date from the Swinging Sixties, but the elegance and comfort of this 19th-century landmark more than makes up for it, with xxx public scapes and cleverly designed and elegant guest rooms adorned with Beatles-inspired artwork and memorabilia. All the rooms have Hypnos beds, fast wifi, tea-and coffee-making facilities and ensuite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries, while the larger Deluxe rooms have walk-in showers and in some cases balconies as well. For a splurge why not try the MCartney or Lennon suites, which come with original artwork, huge beds and a lounge area, balconies, robes and slippers and bathrooms with his and her sinks.
That's not all – even the hotels' public spaces are Beatles-themed: Blakes, their main restaurant, is named after British pop artist, Sir Peter Blake who created Sgt Pepper cover and features loads of Sgt Pepper images, while there's also a couple of comfy bars stacked full of Beatles stuff. All in all there's no better place to really immerse yourself in the sheer nostalgia of Liverpool's Sixties glory days.
