A relative newcomer to the busy Goldalming High Street, the Piazza Firenze is attempting to bring some Florentine flavour to the Home Counties. Good solid Italian fare, with a little bit of flair, but zero pretentiousness and the final bill is surprisingly reasonable when it comes. All the pasta dishes are under a tenner, and the only risotto meal to go north of £10 is the marinara, which comes loaded with fresh mussels, calamari and prawns. Good wine list, nice attentive staff and very comfortable setting. Winning combo. If you find yourself hungry in Hampton Hill High Street in Middlesex, look out for Piazza Firenze's sister restaurant opposite an entrance to Bushy Park.
