Situated in the touristy triangle next to the Castle, this cosy, rough-around-the-edges 16th century pub is popular with locals. Inside, it certainly looks the Olde Englande part, with exposed beams and a Gothic fireplace that would heat a building twice the size. Slightly overpriced local ales are on tap. Pasta, salads and jacket potatoes served during the day; ‘night time nibbles’ (sausages, mini burgers, bruschetta) in the evening.
