Dusty, slightly disheveled and piled-high with old prints, maps and weathered editions, this second-hand bookshop so looks the part that it featured in an episode of Midsomer Murders. The staff cheerfully admit only about a third of the stock is genuine antique (over 50 years old), while the remainder is a pleasingly browsable hodge-podge of more recent literature, memoirs, local history and other hand-me-downs – all at reasonable prices.
